Back to Recreation & Sportsman's Guide Fishing The Columbia River offers 106 miles of shoreline on Rufus Woods Lake and 90 Miles of Shoreline on Lake Pateros for the most avid fisherman--downstream 27 miles to Wells Dam and upstream 51 miles to Grand Coulee Dam. In the Columbia River one can find walleye, sturgeon, salmon, trout and bass. Link with the Washington StateDepartment of Fish and Wildlife for fishing seasons and catch limits. Licenses, fishing supplies and tips on the latest hot spots are available at True Value Hardware Store. Bridgeport State Park Marina Park Fishing is excellent in Rufus Woods Lake behind Chief Joseph Dam and Lake Pateros behind Wells Dam. Boat ramps are available at Bridgeport State Park, Marina Park and on the south shore of Rufus Woods Lake. Sportsmen will find a variety of fish, deer, and upland game birds.
